Mollie Ward
Mollie Ward is director of Spiritual Care and co-chair of the Ethics Committee at Carle BroMenn Medical Center and Carle Eureka Hospital. A priest in The Episcopal Church, she is a certified pastoral educator and board-certified chaplain. Mollie is a member of the Not In Our Town Steering Committee, co-chair of the NIOT Faith & Outreach subcommittee, and co-founder of the McLean County Interfaith Alliance. She holds a master of divinity degree from Seabury-Western Theological Seminary and bachelor of arts degree from the University of Oklahoma.
Prior to entering seminary, Mollie worked as a financial journalist covering the international oil markets and the United Nations and before that served as a US Peace Corps volunteer in the Dominican Republic where she taught beekeeping, trained village healthcare workers, and assisted women’s groups in developing small businesses. A child of a military family, she grew up in Germany, Maryland, and Texas but since November 2000 has made her home on North Roosevelt Avenue in Bloomington with her husband and two children. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, traveling, weaving, and beekeeping.
