Cody Hendricks was elected in April 2023 to serve the residents of Ward 6, the core of the City of Bloomington. Cody is originally from Pekin, Illinois, where he served on the City Council from 2011-2015 after being elected his senior year of high school. Cody also attended Eureka College while on the Pekin City Council, earning a degree in Political Science and History and Secondary Education. He has lived in Bloomington since 2016.

Cody currently works at Olympia High School as a social science educator, primarily teaching economics, US history, and civics. He also serves as the Olympia Education Association Co-President, representing roughly 120 educators.

He and his partner, Eric, live in the Franklin Park neighborhood with their two dogs, Atreyu and Lizzie, and their two cats, Chomsky and Minnie. They enjoy cooking, gardening, traveling, and being active in the local community.
