Emergencies:
If someone is in imminent danger, call 911 or Bloomington PD dispatch at 309-820-8888. Do not utilize the following systems in emergencies or in place of calling 911.
Non-emergencies:
To provide anonymous information about drug sales, illegal weapons possession, or violent crimes that do not require an immediate response, we offer several crime tip systems.
SUBMIT A TIP USING YOUR CELL PHONE
The Bloomington Police Department is now a partner in the national tip-to-text program,"Tip411". This system allows the public to anonymously text crime tips to the department 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The system also supports the sending/receiving of images and videos as well. The department has no ability to identify the sender. Normal text messaging rates do apply.
To use the text-to-tip system, simply text 847411 and then type BPDTIPS and your tip information in the body of the text prior to hitting send. As time allows, a BPD staff member may respond to you via an anonymous two-way conversation.
