The original Davis Lodge was dedicated in 1932 in honor of H.O. Davis, editor of the Daily Pantagraph. The site of the lodge overlooks the widest expanse of Lake Bloomington and has been the site of various concessions and restaurants over the years. The original lodge had two huge fireplaces, which required 50 tons of stone to construct. These fireplaces remain and provide a warm atmosphere for rental guests. This beautiful log facility is now available for rent to the public for weddings, receptions, reunions, graduations, business meetings, and other functions.

The facility is heated and air-conditioned in order to accommodate guests throughout the year. The lodge has a large, central meeting room inside, with a capacity for 100 people, a kitchen facility with plenty of counter space, and a commercial refrigerator and stove. Two separate screened rooms and a large patio overlooking Lake Bloomington. A large, covered barbecue grill and plenty of picnic tables are available outside. The facility is fully accessible. Folding tables and chairs are provided.

Where is the Davis Lodge located?
The address is: 25449 Davis Lodge Road, Hudson, Illinois 61748. From Interstate 39, take Exit 8 and drive east on E 2500 North Road for 3.6 miles to PJ Keller Highway. Then, turn left and go 0.5 miles to Park View Lane and turn right (look for the blue Lake Bloomington sign and stone/iron gate). Then, take the first right onto Davis Lodge Road. Davis Lodge is the first building on the left side.
What are the rental fees for Davis Lodge?

What are the hours of rental?
Check-in: 8:00 a.m. Check-out: 12:00 a.m. Quiet hours start at 10:00 p.m. You must be completely out by midnight. No exceptions will be made.
How many people does Davis Lodge hold comfortably?
Seating: 100 to 120 people (100 chairs in the Main Room).

Where do I pick up the keys on the day of rental?
Staff will ensure the building is accessible by 8:00 a.m. on the day of rental.
Does Davis Lodge have central heating & air?
Yes, inside the lodge. The porches have ceiling fans. No additional heaters are allowed.
Are we allowed to use the fireplaces?
Yes, and the fireplaces are gas.
Is wireless internet available?
Yes, wireless internet is available at Davis Lodge. A password is not required because it is an open network.
Are there restrictions on food catering?
Food does not have to be catered. There are no restrictions on catering.
Does Davis Lodge allow alcohol?
Anyone wishing to consume alcohol at a City facility must submit an online request to the City Clerk Department. This request should be submitted at least 15 days in advance of the event. Note: Alcohol must be provided by an establishment that holds a Class W Catering or Secondary Premise License. The license application must be submitted by the establishment at least 15 days before the event. Are weddings allowed on the lawn at Davis Lodge?
Yes, weddings are allowed on the lawn outside the lodge.
Are additional structures allowed on the lawn?
NO ADDITIONAL STRUCTURES unless approved by the Bloomington Public Works Department. Additional structures require a supplemental agreement and deposit to be submitted after the initial reservation application. Please check the appropriate box on the application to request additional information. As a reminder, failure to comply with additional structure requirements could result in loss of deposit.
Is swimming or wading allowed at Davis Lodge?
No swimming or wading is allowed in Lake Bloomington.
Are pets allowed inside Davis Lodge?
No pets are allowed in Davis Lodge.
