The City of Bloomington posts online auctions for the disposal of surplus assets. Future auctions may include surplus equipment, vehicles, furniture, and other goods and materials.

Below are the links to the different online auction websites utilized by the City.  All online auctions are advertised in the local paper ten (10) business days before the auction begins.  It is recommended that interested parties check these websites weekly or reference the local paper legal advertising section.  The City of Bloomington’s Terms and Conditions are clearly stated on each online auction website.

Auction payments are made through each of the websites online. Depending on the final auction price, each website will dictate the method of payment required before the surplus property will be released. Upon successful payment, the successful bidder should email the Procurement Division at procurement@cityblm.org and provide your full name, phone number for contact, and the item purchased. An employee with the Procurement Division will contact you to make arrangements for surplus pickup.

All property is offered for sale "as-is, where-is”. City of Bloomington, Illinois makes no warranty, guaranty, or representation of any kind, expressed or implied, as to the merchantability or fitness for any purpose of the property offered for sale.  The Buyer is not entitled to any payment for loss of profit or any other money damages - special, direct, indirect, or consequential. City of Bloomington, Illinois warrants to the Buyer that the property offered for sale will conform to its description. Any claim for mis-description must be made prior to removal of the property. If City of Bloomington, Illinois confirms that the property does not conform to the description, City of Bloomington, Illinois will keep the property and refund any money paid. The liability of City of Bloomington, Illinois shall not exceed the actual purchase price of the property. Please note that upon removal of the property, all sales are final.  There will be no inspection of the items for sale.
