The City’s Administrative Court is an administrative adjudication process for ordinance violations and administrative appeals heard before an Administrative Law Judge.  The Administrative Court was created by ordinance in 2014 and provides an efficient and expedited process to remedy City Code violations. The Administrative Court hears different types of ordinance violations including building code violations, zoning violations, property code violations, animal regulations, and behavioral ordinance violations.  The City is represented by the City Prosecutors.  Parties to an administrative court case may have legal representation.

Administrative Court is held the first three Wednesdays of each month beginning at 8:30am.  Hearings are held at the Government Center, 115 E. Washington Street, Room 400, Bloomington, Illinois.  If you require assistance to attend your hearing, please contact the Legal Department at 309-434-2213.  You may request to appear remotely via telephone or Zoom.  To make a request to appear via telephone or Zoom, please submit the request form at least seven (7) days in advance of your scheduled hearing.
