Illinois Housing Development Authority (IHDA) Home Repair and Accessibility Program (HRAP)
This program provides up to $45,000 per unit for rehabilitation work to correct health, safety, and city code issues with the property. The $45,000 in funding is provided via a deferred payment loan through IHDA. To receive the assistance, you must meet all program eligibility criteria set by IHDA. The program is limited to households earning up to 80% Area Median Income for their household size. Additional information can be found here.
How to Apply: Community members wishing to apply for this program must first submit a City of Bloomington Housing Rehabilitation Pre-Application here. A paper version of the pre-application is available as well. Once the pre-application is completed, staff will contact you to discuss the rehabilitation programs available, the program that may work for you, and the full application process for that program.
