The McLean County Supervisor of Assessments has scheduled an additional public outreach session for residents seeking information on property assessments. This session will take place on Thursday, November 7, 2024, at 6:30 P.M. CST in the County Board Room, located on the fourth floor of the McLean County Government Building, 115 E. Washington Street, Bloomington.
This event is open to all, with a focus on residents of the City of Bloomington Township, Bloomington Township, Downs Township, and Old Town Township. For these townships, the deadline to file a property assessment complaint is Friday, November 15.
Attendees will have the opportunity to learn about how property values are determined, the equalization process, filing complaints with the Board of Review, and available deductions. Representatives from township offices, as well as staff from McLean County Treasurer Rebecca McNeil’s office and McLean County Clerk Kathy Michael’s office, will be present to assist with questions.
